Concept Charrette

On January 15, Hastings+Chivetta brought their 3D gaming table to help us visualize the impact of adjacencies.  Over three open sessions, spaces were moved around to provide a new conceptual design that was presented to the Board of Trustees on January 29.  Rendering of the exterior design were also presented.

The presentation to the Board was an initial “check-in” for the project.  Detailed cost estimates have not been developed yet, so there is no “plan” for the Board to approve at this time.  It is also important to emphasize that these layouts and designs are conceptual.  They are not validated against the detailed programming document, and they certainly are not final.

A second presentation was given for the faculty/staff who were interested in what was presented to the Board of Trustees.  Because this event occurred during Touring week, it was recorded and made available to the Gustavus community.

For more detailed documents and to view the recorded presentation, please see the moodle site for this project.
