Programming Workshops

The faculty have gone through two programming workshops, and we’ve arrived at a program that needs approximately 190,000 sq ft.  It’s amazing to see my colleagues digging in and dreaming about what the next 50 years might look like.  Details of the program we have built are on the NHS Facilities Planning moodle page.  The next workshop (December 15-16) will focus on analyzing spaces for program reduction, not a fun prospect, but a necessary one.  The original project looked at 150,000 sq ft, and we need to make sure that be able to justify our request to the Board of Trustees.  To get ready for this, we are filling out usage charts, spec sheets and equipment inventory tables.  Once program reduction has been accomplished, we’ll look at benchmarking.
